Description
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute all live ESPN+ and Web Broadcasts.
- Plans, directs and executes on-air live sporting events.
- Pre and in-game production of live broadcast sporting events.
- Hires, trains, and manages full-time and part-time staff personnel (including students) on all broadcasting and production requirements; including equipment training, broadcasting roles, positions, etc.
- Directs the crews and employees assigned to events; conducts production and technical meetings to define crew responsibilities and outlines expectations for live broadcasts.
- Makes real-time decisions regarding what pictures and sounds will be broadcasted; interprets data and information to decide camera angles, features, and sequences.
- Works with engineering technicians for integration of all elements in a telecast including graphics, enhanced technology elements, switcher effects, composite music, etc.
- Oversees the scheduling and management of full-time and part-time staff, crews, and on-air talent.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's and 5 years experience.
- Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical, or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline.
- Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4-year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
- Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
