Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university and three to five years of professional development and/or fundraising experience.
- Related fields in public relations, marketing, or communications are also acceptable.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans and executes an effective annual fundraising campaign for the Mountaineer Athletics Fund with emphasis on the Yosef Club and the annual fundraising efforts of each of App State’s NCAA Division I teams by engaging alumni, parents, friends, former student-athletes, faculty and staff, students, and season ticket holders.
- Acts as a liaison between Athletics and the University Advancement office to drive Athletics’ annual fundraising efforts, working closely with the following units: Annual Giving, Alumni and Parent Engagement. Donor Relations, Systems (gift processing and reporting), Major Gift Officers, and Leadership (Annual) Gift Officers. The Athletics Development personnel are essential members of the University Development team.
- Works closely with Athletics and University Communications to develop and execute all communication strategies and collateral for the Mountaineer Athletics Fund, including but not limited to annual giving, fundraising events, member campaigns and will assist our Major Gift team on capital and special projects.
- Coordinates internal logistics and operations for the advancement of Athletics fundraising priorities, strategies, and prospects under the leadership of the Athletics Director, Deputy Athletics Director and the Vice President of Advancement.
- Develops a marketing plan and prepares printed and digital materials to advance fundraising efforts for App State Athletics.
