Assist Athletic Director in conducting and implementing sports programs to meet the needs of adults and youth in the community. Ensures participants have the opportunity to learn sports skills, rules, and teamwork while having fun in a safe and non-threatening environment.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:
A bachelor's degree in recreation or a related field is required.
Two years of experience in the recreation field is preferred.
One year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience sufficient to produce needed knowledge and skills is acceptable.
CPRP certification is desired.
CPR and First Aid certification is desired; required within six months of employment.
A valid driver's license.
Mobility to work in a typical office setting and use standard office equipment such as computers, filing cabinets, copy machines.
Mobility to physically visit and inspect other organization sites, indoor and outdoor, including the tight quarters of concessions stands and storage rooms.
Mobility and strength to transport concessions or athletic supplies over distances of up to 200 feet.
Mobility and strength sufficient to offer medical assistance up to and including CPR if needed.
Strength to lift equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Vision to read printed materials and a computer monitor
Hearing and speech sufficient to communicate in person or over the telephone.
