Description
Black Hills State University is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance in the athletics department at Black Hills State University. BHSU is a member of NCAA DII and the RMAC.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive compliance programs and policies for our athletics department.
- Monitor and enforce NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations to maintain compliance in all aspects of our athletic programs.
- Provide guidance and support to coaches, student-athletes, and staff on compliance matters.
- Oversee the recruiting process to ensure that it adheres to all NCAA rules and regulations.
- Conduct educational sessions and workshops for coaches, recruits, and their families regarding recruiting rules and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of all recruiting activities and official visits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in intercollegiate athletics as a student athlete, coach and/or administrator.
- Strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong ethical and moral character with a commitment to integrity.
