Description
Position is responsible for collaborating with campus athletic teams, and their members, related to all facets of eligibility, compliance, and student success for OUAZ’s 26 varsity athletics programs; and is responsible for ensuring the OUAZ Athletics Department adheres to NAIA and NCCAA eligibility and compliance rules.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Manages and executes the eligibility certification process for all participating student-athletes including rules education and support for all members of the athletics department.
- Enforces all rules within the NAIA and GSAC, working closely with all coaches and student-athletes in making sure the department is fully compliant with these rules.
- Works collaboratively with faculty and department advisors to ensure student-athletes understand degree requirements for the major as well as general education requirements and progress toward degree requirements. Collaborates with staff from Admissions, Retention, and Registrar departments to support new and continuing students.
- Advises Director of Athletics on all student-athlete experience issues.
