Description
The Assistant Director of Athletics for Development is responsible for accelerating philanthropic support for Redhawk Athletics. The position reports to the Associate Director of Athletics for Development and works closely with University Advancement (UA) colleagues and campus partners including Corporate & Foundation Relations.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Identify and manage a portfolio of mid-level donors and prospects in support of the Athletic Department’s initiatives.
- Assist with the cultivation and solicitation of gifts, with a specific focus on new donors.
- Complete 50 substantive contacts per month with an emphasis on earning at least 12 quality personal visits per month.
- Partner with key constituents such as alumni, parents, and friends to deepen their engagement with Seattle University Athletics.
- Work closely with the development staff and the rest of the athletics department to develop and manage engagement, solicitation and stewardship strategies.
- Ensure current annual fund donors and prospects move through donor continuum with the purpose of increasing their support of Seattle University.
- Facilitate communication between administrators, coaches, donors, prospects and volunteers, as appropriate.
