Description
As an integral member of Stonehill College’s Department of Athletics, the Assistant Director of Athletics for Recreational Sports will direct all recreational, fitness and sports complex programming while creating and implementing a comprehensive strategic plan to best serve the recreational needs of our student, staff, faculty and community populations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an innovative and engaging recreational environment to enhance student wellness, encourage community participation and support Stonehill’s mission to educate the whole person.
- Direct all aspects of Sports Complex operations, including hiring and training student staff, master scheduling, special event support, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards and exploring new opportunities for utilization.
- Deliver a safe and engaging recreation and fitness environment for the use of all community members.
- Collaborate with departments across campus to provide a wide array of programming opportunities for a variety of institutional activities.
- Oversee the successful operation of club and intramural sport programs.
- Understanding of non-traditional hours required of the position, including evening and weekend responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with all policies, rules and regulations set forth by Stonehill College and associated member organizations.
