Description
The Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement is responsible for promoting and enhancing the image of the Texas State Department of Athletics throughout the local, regional, state and national level. The position will increase visibility of the program through all available means in today’s widely diverse media outlets. The position will direct, develop, initiate, and support strategies that drive revenue, increase attendance, supports recruitment, and enhance in-game and fan experiences.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics or sports organization equivalent.
- Knowledge of applied fan engagement and promotional strategies.
- Experience with game presentation, entertainment and coordination (i.e. football).
- Experience managing digital/social media channels to advance brand affinity.
- Skill in establishing rapport with internal and external constituents.
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills.
- Ability to supervise staff.
- Knowledge of general university policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with additional consideration for Master’s degree.
- Experience with creative communication design.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with video display operations (i.e. Daktronics).
