Description
The Assistant Athletic Director for Middle School and Event Management supports the schools athletic program by managing aspects of middle school sports and home event logistics. Key duties include managing athletic registration and rosters, overseeing social media and photography, and coordinating home events. This role involves working closely with faculty, coaches, student-athletes, and parents to enhance the overall athletic experience.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics and manage all aspects of game-day operations, including overseeing setup, and breakdown for the entire athletic program.
- Organize and maintain equipment, supplies, and facilities necessary for athletic events.
- Manage and organize all uniforms 5-12. Collaborate with coaches on the distribution and collection of all uniforms as well as implementing and maintaining a tracking system.
- Coordinate with the HHPA Athletic Chair and delegate tasks for events such as Beargate, Signing Day, alumni championship team events, and additional events depending on needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for middle school athletic events, ensuring a smooth experience for teams, officials, spectators, and staff.
- Manage all middle school registration, rosters, and team selection communication.
- Support middle school coaches and teams, fostering a fun and competitive environment.
- Organize and promote events tailored to the middle school athletic community, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience for students and parents.
- Serve as a liaison between middle school athletics and the middle school faculty.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, masters degree preferred, with experience in sports management, communications, or a related field.
- Prior experience in athletic event management or school-based athletics is preferred.
- Proficiency in photography, videography, and basic social media platforms.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and school breaks to support athletic events.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Team-oriented, flexible, and eager to collaborate with and support others.
