Description
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for assigned prospects with the ultimate goal of closing the gift. Advance relationships with prospective donors and current donors through appropriate stages of qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. Collaborate with the appropriate staff in the development of prospect strategies and the relationship building process. Utilize the full complement of fundraising “moves”, including personal visits.
- Coordinate the Club membership renewal calendar and solicitations via direct mail, web/email, personal visits, and phonathon.
- Plan and coordinate stewardship for Falcon Club members, including hospitality areas, thank-a-thons, direct mail, and individual recognition.
- Manage major projects that benefit both the athletics department and serve as a cultivation, stewardship piece for BGSU alumni and friends. For example, the Schmidthorst Heritage Hall housing the Cochrane Cunningham Archives.
- Work with assigned sports to develop fundraising priorities and plans to cultivate, solicit and steward sport alumni.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree. Degree must be conferred at time of application.

2 years experience in fund development including solicitation of gifts and/or related work experience (e.g. Public relations, marketing/sales) with demonstrated success.
