Description
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and six years of related experience within the appropriate athletics discipline, or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to ten years. (Note: post-high school education may substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
- Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or Strength and Conditioning Coach Certification (SSC).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction of programs that oversee the performance training, physical well-being, and strength and conditioning of all student athletes in Olympic Sports. Develops, coordinates, and implements program goals and objectives that support the prevention of injuries and athletic conditioning of student athletes in Olympic Sports. Responsible for thorough record keeping of each student-athlete's progress. Responsible for data analytics for Olympic Sport Programs. Foster relationships with academic departments and participate in research initiatives.
- Responsible for developing, coordinating, and directing all administrative functions of the Strength and Conditioning program to include staff, budget, schedule, travel, equipment, and facilities (Moore, Tully, and Howser).
- Responsible for implementing the strength and conditioning program for an assigned team. Responsible for the discipline, conduct, and image of the student athlete as it specifically relates to the athletic programs. Other duties as assigned.
