The assistant athletic trainer operates under the supervision of the head athletic trainer and performs professional duties within their scope of practice to the competing NCAA student-athletes at Shenandoah University. Additionally, this NATABOC certified athletic trainer is responsible for the academic guidance to those in the ATEP program as a preceptor. The assistant athletic trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, management and rehabilitation of injuries within the university’s comprehensive sports medicine program.
Masters degree preferred, BS/BA accepted. Experience with all sports offered at Shenandoah University favored. Must be in good standing with the Athletic Trainer Board of Certification, currently have or be eligible for the state licensure for the Commonwealth of Virginia and CPR/AED certified.
