Assistant Athletic Trainer, Instructor in Physical Education

Accountabilities:

• Responsible for completion and submission of all insurance claims.
• Responsible for communicating effectively with insurance companies.
• Responsible for inventory and facility management.
• Responsible for supervision of all operational functions regarding practice and home game medical coverage of all intercollegiate athletic events per department sport coverage strategy, as assigned.
• Responsible for coordinating and direct communication with university physician for assigned sports.
• Complete, independent and unchallengeable decision-making authority regarding all student-athlete participation in any and all sport activities.
• Complete, independent, and unchallengeable decision-making authority regarding all rehabilitation plans and return-to-play programs regarding all student-athlete participation in any and all sport activities.
• Complete, independent and unchallengeable decision-making authority regarding all weather related activities.

Professional Experience/Qualifications:

• Candidates must possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal), computer skills, and knowledge and commitment to all University, League, and NCAA regulations.
• Must be NATABOC and NYS (eligible) certified.
