Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee Campus Athletics programs, including sport clubs, intramurals, recreation, fitness, and instructional activities, ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations and efficient operations of facilities and equipment.
- Oversee and mentor all staff within Campus Athletics, including exempt and nonexempt employees, Graduate Assistants, and volunteers, conducting performance appraisals, program reviews, and hiring decisions.
- Foster diversity and inclusion while managing the recruitment, development, and evaluation of Taylor Gym staff to ensure effective operations and service delivery.
- Oversee financial management, budget preparation, and resource allocation to align with departmental priorities, including developing revenue generation strategies and providing monthly performance reports.
- Manage facility operations, staffing, equipment safety, and risk management, while making daily decisions to support program goals and improve efficiency.
- Promote the department's mission and values, drive continuous improvement through technology and operational strategies, and evaluate initiatives to enhance programs and staff development.
- Achieve departmental and university objectives, aligning with institutional goals, and enhance visibility through departmental successes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s degree preferred.
- One to three years related experience.
- NSCA or ACSM certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
