The Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance works within the athletics department and the University as a whole to ensure compliance with National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Atlantic 10 Conference (A10) and the university policies and regulations. This Assistant AD serves as primary day-to-day manager of the La Salle Athletics Compliance program. They develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program that supports the athletic department’s mission with particular responsibility for ensuring innovative and effective compliance systems for education, monitoring and certification for all varsity sports.
3-4 years’ administrative experience including the NCAA Compliance field.
Knowledge and experience in NCAA rules and compliance.
Ability to teach diverse groups of individuals about NCAA compliance issues.
Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced environment and manage stressful situations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks at once and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of La Salle University.
Master’s degree, preferably in legal, regulatory or a similar field; or an equivalent combination of experience and education may be substituted for a Master’s degree.
Preferred candidates will possess excellent communication skills, demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population, strong organizational and time management skills
Experience with NCAA Compliance Assistant, ARMS, and LSDBi database. Demonstrated ability to develop strong working relationships with coaches, student-athletes, staff, administrators and alumni.
