The assistant coach for the baseball program will be responsible for assisting the head coach in the mentoring of student athletes in a competitive environment while upholding the mission and vision of the baseball program, the athletic department and Taylor University. The largest portion of the job responsibilities will be to assist with the instruction, teaching and evaluation of skills as instructed by the head coach. Other duties will include: assistance with game preparation, practice plan development, scheduling, opponent evaluation, strategy development, recruiting and overall spiritual development and discipleship of the student athletes.
This individual must have baseball coaching experience and be committed to a Christian lifestyle and coaching perspective. They should be able to demonstrate the ability to mentor and motivate student-athletes in the areas of skill development, and spiritual development.
