Description
Under the direct supervision of the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Coach has the responsibility of carrying out all duties assigned by the Head Baseball Coach as they relate to the administration of the sport and to always work in the best interest of the program, the Athletic Department, and the University.
Responsibilities:
- Required to annually pass the NCAA module before recruiting off campus.
- Aid Head Coach in organizing and conducting practice sessions, scouting, and game preparation.
- Assist the Head Coach in recruiting qualified student-athletes.
- Annually declare and receive approval from the Director of Athletics and President for all outside income.
- Aid in supervising conduct of athletes on trips and at games.
- Responsible for other work-related duties as assigned by the Head Women’s Softball Coach or the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications:
- Softball coaching experience.
- Possess general computer skills required, database management software experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet for much of the day.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task.
