Description
Reporting to the Head Baseball Coach, the Assistant Baseball Coach supports the mission of the College by assisting with leadership and managing of the Colleges baseball program, developing and executing effective coaching strategies, recruiting talented athletes, overseeing team practices and games, fostering a positive team culture, and ensuring the overall success and growth of the program. Serves as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
Duties:
- Develops comprehensive and innovative coaching strategies that enhance the team's performance and competitive edge.
- Plans, organizes, and leads effective practice sessions to improve players' skills, game understanding, and physical conditioning.
- Provides personalized coaching to players, helping them reach their maximum potential and contributing to their individual growth as athletes.
- Identifies and recruits talented student-athletes who align with the program's values and contribute to the team's success.
- Develops and maintains relationships with high school coaches, AAU programs, and other sources to identify and attract top prospects.
- Manages the recruitment process, including evaluating prospects, conducting campus visits, and coordinating with admissions offices.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 1 year of prior coaching experience is required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
