Description
The Assistant Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting the Head Coach in all management aspects of the baseball team. The Assistant Coach must assist the Head Coach with practice, games and recruitment of players in accordance with University and NCAA rules and regulations. Additionally, this position will oversee day to day operations of a group of players i.e. pitchers, position players or defense.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Planning and conducting regular team practices, drills, and conditioning sessions to enhance player skills and fitness.
- Developing game plans, strategies, and tactics for both offense and defense.
- Monitoring individual player performance and providing feedback for improvement.
- Evaluating potential recruits by attending games, watching videos, and communicating with high school coaches.
- Providing guidance and mentorship to help players balance academics and athletics.
- Supporting players in personal growth and development, both on and off the field.
- Engaging with the local community through clinics, youth programs, and other outreach initiatives to promote the baseball program and sport.
- Participating in fundraising activities to support the baseball program, such as donor events and booster club activities.
