This position requires supporting the head coach in all aspects of student-athlete training. Student-athlete development includes supporting workout session execution, recovery, nutrition, mental/emotional, and academics. Recruiting duties are required, including assessing PSAs, conducting phone calls, in person contacts on and off campus evaluations, passing the NCAA Recruiting Exam and coordinating the recruitment strategy with the Head Coach. Carry out duties of job within NCAA and Loyola University Maryland regulations.
Bachelor’s degree is required and a minimum of 2 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level is preferred, high school coaching experience will also be considered.
Additional USTFCCCA and/or USATF coaching certification is also preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent computer and organizational skills.
Ability to support the mission and values of a Catholic Jesuit education, as well as University goals for institutional diversity.
Must be able to work weekends and evenings and travel as needed.
Must be able to demonstrate sport specific activities.
Must be able to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
