Description
Under the supervision of the Head Coach, Football, the Assistant Coach, Football provides support and assistance of the intercollegiate Football program. The Assistant Coach duties includes but are not limited to the following aspects; preparation of training/practice sessions, recruiting, managing recruiting database Front Rush Recruiting Program, assist with recruiting tours of the University, game preparation, team travel arrangements, and professional communication in regards to the Coaching staff and individual players.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree plus two year experience coaching at the collegiate level with a commitment to Division III philosophy or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Collegiate level coaching experience and experience with NCAA preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program; to include adhering to and enforcing all Departmental policies and procedures, as well as rules and regulations of the University, and the NCAA.
- Assist with development and administration of all phases of the program including recruitment, training, practice, competition, scheduling, and adherence to NCAA regulations.
- In cooperation with the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will develop and maintain a system to identify potential recruits and to work closely with high school and travel coaches to recruit quality student-athletes to Stevenson University.
- Identify and recruit quality student-athletes, both nationally and locally, who meet the high standards established by Stevenson University.
- Assist with the daily administrative duties of the program.
- Work in conjunction with the Head Coach to encourage the development of psychological, social, and mental skills necessary for the student-athlete to be successful in the classroom, on the track and field, and in future endeavors.
