Assistant Coach, Golf

The Assistant Men’s Golf Coach is responsible for the direct and independent coaching of student-athletes during practice and tournaments, the assessment and recruitment of prospective student-athletes, creation of individualized development plans for each student-athlete, monitoring the academic progress of Men’s Golf student-athletes, facilitating team meetings, participating in public relations, marketing and fund raising for the Men’s Golf program and the athletic department and complying with NCAA and Texas State University rules and regulations.

Qualifications: 

• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of general university policies and procedures.
• Ability to prepare and conduct training for golf student-athletes.
• Skill in the assessment and recruitment of prospective golf student-athletes.
• Experience playing or coaching golf at the collegiate level.
• Bachelors’ degree.
