Assistant Coach – Golf (Men & Women’s)

Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley and Missouri Valley Football Conferences. We are currently seeking to hire an Assistant Men and Women's Golf Coach.

Examples of Duties:

• Identify and recruit quality student-athletes.
• Assist with the organization and conduct of practices and competitions, coordinate facilities for game and practice sessions.
• Promote the welfare and academic progress of student-athletes.
• Ensure the compliance of the program with the University, NCAA, and MVC rules. Assist with the daily administrative duties directing, managing, leading, organizing and executing the program including team travel and film exchange with other Division 1 programs.
• Participate in fundraising and public relations activities, coordinate request for community and regional involvement .
• Scouting report on opponents for strategic game planning.
• Recruiting evaluations for head coach. Assist with summer camps.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree by date of hire.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Technical knowledge of Men's and Women's golf and the demonstrated ability to apply that knowledge.
• College coaching experience preferred.
