Assistant Coach, Men’s and Women’s Track and Field

This is a full time, annually appointed, coaching position in the University of Arizona Athletics Department assisting the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country with the recruitment and coaching of student-athletes in a major Division I program. The position reports directly to the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Implementation of training programs for student-athletes in Throwing Events.
• Recruiting both women and men’s Throwers.
• Academic monitoring of student-athletes.
• Administrative duties.
• Assisting in all areas of the Track & Field program, including day-to-day operations.
• Overseeing practice (team and individual).
• Coordinator of all Drachman Stadium facility operations.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with computers and software such as MS Office.
• Four years coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Experience coaching male and female athletes.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekend.
