Description
Assists the Director of Track & Field/Cross Country in all aspects of running a highly competitive NCAA Division III men’s and women’s track & field/cross country program by educating and coaching student-athletes, recruiting high academic prospective student-athletes, developing and implementing practice and training sessions and meet strategies, and supporting student-athletes in their personal, academic and athletic growth and development at Tufts.
Essential Functions:
- Educate and coach student-athletes.
- Plan, organize and manage practices.
- Recruit highly selective prospective student-athletes.
- Complete a secondary duty within the Department of Athletics and additional duties as assigned by Director of Athletics or sport supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and prior coaching experience;
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to develop and relate to student-athletes in an extremely competitive academic environment;
- Dedication to the full academic, athletic and social development of student-athletes;
