Assistant Coach – Men’s Basketball

The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach provides assistance in all phases of coaching the Division I men’s basketball program including: student-athlete recruitment, game preparation, player evaluation, academic coordination and practice and game coaching. Also provide administrative support as assigned.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist in organizing and implementing the recruitment process.
• Instructing and supervising daily drills, workout sessions.
• Scouting opponents.
• Organizing and leading preseason and off-season conditioning.
• Creating a positive and productive environment for the student-athletes.
• Responsible for purchasing and equipment.
• Organization of staff recruiting during NCAA live recruiting periods.

Experience:

• 2-3 years successful experience coaching basketball at the NCAA Division I level and/or previous Head Coaching experience at the collegiate level.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Commitment to high ethical standards and academics success.

Additional Considerations:

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with college students.
• Knowledge of, and an appreciation for conference and NCAA rules.
• Effective communication, interpersonal and public relations skills.
