Assistant Coach, Men’s Cross Country

Quinnipiac University's Department of Athletics invites applications for an Assistant Coach, Men's Cross Country to assist in program management including coaching, recruitment and coordination of a collegiate Division I Men’s Cross Country Program. This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible position.

Responsibilities:

• Coach student-athletes, maintain a safe and challenging environment that will challenge and develop the physical, mental, and personal abilities of student athletes.
• Administer and manage all phases of a competitive Division I Men’s Cross Country Program.
• Assist with recruiting (on and off campus as assigned).
• Assist in the future development of Men’s Cross Country alumni and community relations
• Assist the Head Coach with daily/weekly/seasonal practice planning.
• Weekend travel and supervision.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to run a practice with necessary cross country runner knowledge and skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with the University community
• Valid Driver’s License..
• Ability to pass NCAA recruiting certification test.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and video editing.
• Proven leadership ability.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, student-athletes and potential recruits and their families.
• Excellent communication, written and oral skills.
