Description
Working under the direction of the Head Coach, oversee the administration of a successful Division I men’s golf program. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the men’s golf coach in instruction and on-course needs at all practices and home and away matches. Monitor student-athlete’s grades and class attendance.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes for the golf program.
- Oversee all financial reports and record keeping related to golf including the preparation and management of the budget, processing and reconciling travel vouchers, recording and track fundraising donations, preparing purchase orders and maintaining the inventory for apparel and equipment.
- Schedule and organize all team travel including means of transportation, hotels, meals and entry fees. Maintain the Nancy Baker Golf Clubhouse.
- Maintain the upkeep of the Golf Team vehicle and schedule routine maintenance for the vehicle.
- Organize and oversee golf camps and golf lessons: coordinate and manage camp applications and fees, hire camp workers, and coordinate financial payments for camp meals, facilities and workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two (2) years of golf coaching experience or two (2) years as a student-athlete participating in collegiate golf or two (2) years of working in a collegiate golf program or the equivalent experience.
