Description
The Assistant Coach will be responsible for on-field coaching, individual player development, scouting and video analysis for the Men's Lacrosse program, recruiting prospective student-athletes, alumni and community outreach, and help monitoring the academic and student-welfare for the program among other administrative and coaching responsibilities. Specific responsibilities to be assigned under the direction of the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with breaking down game film and scouting opponents.
- Responsible for knowing and abiding by NCAA, CAA and University rules and regulations.
- Assist with continued fundraising and development efforts and create new initiatives as dictated by program.
- Assist with distributing fundraising-related correspondence, conducting alumni outreach and coordinating fundraising and alumni events.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes by organizing official visits, participating in unofficial visits, coordinating travel and communication.
- Act as liaison to Academic Support to monitor academic progress of student-athletes.
- Act as liaison with Compliance in regards to Admissions & Financial Aid; admissions pre-reads.
- Assist with Compliance Rules by completing weekly participation and practice reports.
- Coordinate and oversee team travel including itineraries, organizing meals, travel practices, transportation and accommodations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. (Please review the Equivalency Chart for additional information.)
- Minimum of 2 years of collegiate playing and/or coaching experience.
- Competent knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
