The Athletics Department at Benedictine University seeks an assistant coach for men’s lacrosse. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assisting the head coach in all aspects of coaching, practice preparation, game preparation, strategy, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, strength training and scheduling in support of the men’s lacrosse program. Adherence to NCAA Division III rules and regulations, supporting the philosophy, goals and mission of the college and its intercollegiate athletics program, as well as adherence to departmental, university, NACC, and NCAA policies and procedures is required.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
1.) Assist in the planning, organization and administration of practices.
2.) Assist in game preparation and the implementation of game day strategies.
3.) Assist with recruiting qualified prospective student-athletes to the program.
4.) Oversee and supervise strength and conditioning component of athletes training regime.
Ability to handle varying levels of stress while maintaining professional demeanor.
Possible lifting, bending, walking, kneeling, stretching, and stooping.
Frequent district-wide and statewide travel; frequent prolonged and irregular hours; outdoor exposure to sun/heat or cold weather.
Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand.
Understand the speech of another person.
