Assistant Coach – Men’s & Women’s Golf

Under general supervision, this position will assist the head coach with recruitment and scouting efforts, daily practice, tournament coordination, and other various coaching duties. This individual is responsible to adhere to rules and regulations governing the college and National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), as applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting information to groups in a clear and effective manner
• Ability to work effectively with others in an educational setting
• Ability to recruit and coach highly talented student-athletes
• Superior knowledge of golf and swing instruction, the rules of golf and golf course management
• Ability to adhere to all policies, rules and regulations of the college and NJCAA
• Ability to market and promote the assigned sports program
• A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks as assigned
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment as needed
• Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational polices and activities
• Ability to integrate resources, policies and information for the determination of procedures, solutions, and other outcomes
• Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with students, faculty, staff and the public
