Assistant Coach, Men’s & Women’s Tennis

The Assistant Men's & Women's Tennis Coach will assist the Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach with all areas of the University of New Orleans Division I tennis programs. The position responsibilities will include instruction, development, preparation, recruitment and retention of men's & women's tennis student-athletes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Head Coach with practices, small-group sessions and individual instruction to support coaching staff’s goals of improved performance.
• Assist Head Coach in creating a nurturing environment which promotes competitive excellence, teamwork, accountability and other transferable skills.
• Assist Head Coach with practice planning, including individualized coaching plans for each Men’s and Women’s Tennis student-athlete.
• Attend all practices, home and road matches and tournaments as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Strategize with Head Coach regarding lineups, pairings, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 1-3 years tennis coaching, teaching or NCAA competitive experience.
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Commensurate computer skills necessary for work with Athletics Business Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekend and travel as needed.
