The Rollins College Athletics Department welcomes applications for a Softball Assistant Coach! As an assistant coach, you'll support the head coach in managing all aspects of the team, from academic performance and recruiting to training and community engagement. You'll play a key role in developing player skills, organizing camps, and coordinating team logistics. Be part of a dynamic environment where you can make a difference both on and off the field.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in managing all aspects of the NCAA Division II softball program in accordance with NCAA, Sunshine State Conference, and Rollins College regulations.
- Assist in monitoring the academic performance of softball student-athletes.
- Assist in the administration of all aspects of the softball program, including day-to-day administrative and operational responsibilities.
- Scout/recruit prospective softball student-athletes, coordinate campus visits, and coordinate the recruiting schedule for staff.
- Prepare reports and evaluate players.
- Assist in all season (pre-, in-, and post-) trainings, practices, and games.
- Assist in organizing all Rollins Softball summer camps.
- Serve as primary contact for prospect and summer youth camps.
- Assist with game and practice scheduling.
- Assist with softball fundraising and promotional activities.
Qualifications & Education:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University or College.
- At least 3 years of coaching experience.
- Possess a valid driver’s license, or ability to obtain a Florida driver's license within 30 days of accepting the job, and acceptable motor vehicle record.
