Description
The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach reports to the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and will assist with the design, development, implementation, monitoring and assessment of strength and conditioning programs for 3-5 intercollegiate programs at the NCAA Division II level. The Assistant Coach will work cooperatively with coaches and athletic training staff to: develop team and individualized strength programs and nutrition plans in a positive and motivating environment, assist in the oversight and maintenance of two weight rooms and equipment.
Essential Duties:
- Work with assigned teams to develop pre-season, in-season and off-season programs.
- Evaluate individual strengths and weaknesses of student-athletes and develop strategies to enhance performance.
- Design individualized work-out plans; implement testing programs; maintain appropriate records; monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of program based on individual results and data collected.
- Assist with daily maintenance and staffing of weight room/strength facilities as well as assist in scheduling weight room training for the various athletic programs and assist in identifying and purchasing appropriate strength and conditioning equipment.
- Assist in other duties, responsibilities, and assignments as determined by the Director of Athletics and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach.
