Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Assist with the recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes to compete in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) while representing one of the top programs within the conference.
- Assist with the administration of the women’s basketball program as determined by the head coach.
- Assist with adherence to the program’s operational and recruitment budget.
- Assist with alumni outreach and development as determined by the head coach, including but not limited to opportunities to meet, invitations to appropriate team activity, and other stewardship.
- Understand and follow the rules, regulations, and protocol of the University, GLVC, and the NCAA.
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategies, and techniques.
- Previous coaching experience or team leadership role as an athlete.
- The ability to effectively teach team and individual skills connected with team and player development.
- Four-year college education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
- Willingness to travel and work evenings and weekends as required.
