Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball

The Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach position will assist the head coach in various aspects of the Women’s Basketball program including, but not limited to recruiting, practice planning, on-court instruction, scouting, academics, and student athlete relations. They will recruit student-athletes that fit the program’s needs as well as the university’s academic standards. This individual is responsible for ensuring the Women’s Basketball program is compliant with NCAA, conference and university rules and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Interpersonal relations with staff, student-athletes, other coaches, support staff, media, faculty, administration, supporters, and the community are vital to the success of these programs.
• Anticipates needs of program, works with support staff and members of Omaha Athletics to ensure execution of responsibilities.
• Bring strategy and plan to assist team in winning a Summit League Championship and graduate student-athletes.
• Work with assigned position group to develop skills on and off the court.
• Create game and practice edits to give feedback and guide future instruction.
• Create and maintain recruiting ties within the Midwest and Internationally.
