Assists head coach with organization and supervision of the Women’s Basketball program including: coaching and teaching both instructional skills and team concepts; recruitment of qualified student-athletes with a commitment to academic success; compliance with NCAA , Atlantic 10, and University rules and regulations; budget management; fundraising activities; organizing and directing camps and clinics; and other duties as assigned.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists head coach in managing team practices; assists in teaching tactical concepts including offensive and defensive strategies; provides one-on-one and group instruction; assists in planning/liaison to sports performance; and evaluates student-athlete performance in both practice and competition.
Performs recruiting related activities; coordinates compliance procedures; assists with on-campus visits; travels for off-campus recruiting and evaluation; and identifies student-athletes capable of succeeding both athletically and academically.
Assists head coach in the preparation and design of practice plans and game strategies; collects and analyzes scouting reports of opponents; and prepares for and assists with team related travel.
Assists with planning and coordination of activities that promote community engagement (e.g., camps, clinics, service, and fundraising).
Performs other duties as assigned.
