Assistant Coach Women’s Basketball

Mercyhurst University, an NCAA Division I member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) invites applications for the position of Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach to develop, promote, and participate in all facets of the Women’s Basketball program.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruit, train, and coach members of the Basketball program.
• Promote academic excellence, integrity, and graduation. Monitor academic progress, academic meetings, class scheduling and attendance.
• Coordinate team travel for competitions to include van or bus itineraries, lodging, and meals.
• Plan, promote, and conduct camps, clinics, and/or lessons.
• Assist in fundraising efforts.
• Develop meaningful relationships with prospective, current, and former student athletes.
• Represent Mercyhurst University and the Basketball program in a professional manner.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Three years of relevant sport coaching (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.
