Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball

This position plays a vital role in supporting the overall success and competitiveness of the Butler University Women’s Basketball program. Responsibilities include coaching, skill development, and recruiting talented student-athletes, while also fostering academic achievement and a strong, positive team culture. The role contributes directly to the growth of individual players and the collective performance of the team.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Academic Monitoring of student-athletes.
• Personal development of student-athletes.
• Contribute to positive team culture.
• Identify, evaluate and recruit students that can succeed at Butler both academically and athletically.
• Build and cultivate relationships with scholastic and non-scholastic coaches.
• Assist with teaching and coaching in team and individual settings.
• Game preparation via game and practice planning and film review.
• Pre and post season conditioning, weight training and skill development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Collegiate coaching or playing experience. Knowledge of NCAA Division I, Big East/Pioneer Football rules and regulations.
• Ability to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, administrators and staff.
• Outstanding verbal communication and leadership skills.
