Assistant Coach, Women’s Basketball, Academic Advising

Responsibilities:

• Assist the head women’s basketball coach with all aspects of a comprehensive, highly competitive college women’s basketball program. Assist with the organization and management as it relates to scheduling, scouting, travel arrangements and monitoring student-athletes (SA).
• Development and implement programs and initiatives to increase awareness of and attendance at SLCC events. This would include reaching out to key constitute groups to encourage their support of SLCC athletics. Key constituents include local businesses and alumni as well as SLCC students, staff and faculty.
• Design, produce and distribute collateral materials including posters and game schedules.
• Contact outside groups and arrange for them to participate as halftime entertainment at SLCC events.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 1-2 years women’s basketball coaching experience in an educational setting required.
• Certified professional level experience considered.
• Trade off 2-to-1 in experience/education requirement.
• Part-time experience will be prorated.
