Assistant Coach, Women’s Ice Hockey

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Instructs and teaches athletes in fundamentals of ice hockey, coaches technique and strategy.
• Assists in selection of team members and recruiting activities in compliance with conference, NCAA, and OSU rules and regulations.
• Assists the head coach in the coordination of administrative areas of program management including, but not limited to, scheduling of competitions and practices, travel plans, equipment and is the liaison to strength and conditioning.
• Work with hudl software for both team and individual player video.
• Monitors academic progress of student athletes; audits information from academic support services, ensures compliance with conference, NCAA, and University rules and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Women's Ice Hockey.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Coaching experience and extensive knowledge of the sport of ice hockey.
• Position requires extensive travel during recruiting process.
