Assistant Coach, Women’s Softball

Under the direction of the head coach, assist with the successful administration of the women’s softball program, including teaching, motivating, evaluating, and recruiting qualified high caliber student-athletes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in evaluation and recruitment of prospective student athletes.
• Assist in the training and development of players and in scouting.
• Assist in team travel arrangements, game management, and equipment management.
• Assist in scheduling promotions, marketing, fund-raising projects and summer camps and clinics.
• Supervise the strength and conditioning program.
• Maintain the recruiting, fundraising, and alumni databases.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated experience coaching women’s softball at the high school, college or semi-professional level.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills in a softball program.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and evaluate student-athletes.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel).
• Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes.
