Assistant Coach Women’s Volleyball

Essential Functions:

• Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the
• collegiate sports program.
• Teaches sports techniques, playing rules, strategies and playing tactics.
• Supervises and conducts practices and contests safely, supervising locker rooms and buses.
• Assists the head coach in carrying out his or her responsibilities.
• Assists the head coach in carrying out his or her responsibilities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of volleyball rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate good volleyball skills to team.
• Well developed oral communication skills.
• Effective supervisory techniques.
• Ability to recruit players, schedule games, coordinate fundraisers, and market and promote the intercollegiate volleyball program.
• Work effectively with players and other coaches.
• The ability to instruct the athletes in individual and team fundamentals, strategy and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.
• Carry out in a positive way he philosophy and objective of the sport.
• Instills in each player a respect for equipment and college property, its care and proper use.
