The College of Wooster (NCAA Division III, in the North Coast Athletic Conference) is seeking applications for an Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach. This will be a full time, 10-month, salaried position with benefits.
The Assistant Coach is responsible for all aspects of management of an NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Program. This position will focus on recruiting quality individuals that meet the high athletic and academic standards of The College of Wooster. It will also include, on-court technical and tactical training, preparing scouting reports, video analysis and exchange, creating strength training plans, creating content and monitoring social media and completing administrative tasks, while ensuring compliance with NCAA, NCAC and College of Wooster rules and regulations. While the Assistant will be directly supervised by the Head Volleyball Coach, he/she may receive other assignments from by the Director of Physical Education, Athletics, and Recreation.
A Bachelor's degree and volleyball experience are required. Successful coaching and recruiting experience at the intercollegiate level, playing experience, and a masters degree are preferred qualifications. Additionally, ideal candidates will demonstrate an understanding of a small liberal arts college, the ability to mentor student athletes on and off the court, strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills. With regard to other attributes, we seek a candidate who is flexible, collaborative, takes initiative, and works well independently.
