Description
The Assistant Wrestling coach is the primary assistant coach in the wrestling program at Mines. It is expected that applicants perform all duties assigned by the head coach and Director of Athletics to the best of his/her ability in a professional manner.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Physical Activity class instruction.
- To attend meetings as necessary.
- To attend coaches meetings and clinics for professional growth as directed by the head coach.
- To attend/take part in in-service training by each head coach.
- To be familiar with and follow the policies of the NCAA, RMAC and Mines.
- To complete the required recruiting examination annually, effective dates August 1-July 31. This is required of all coaches.
- To remain in facility until all participants have left when designated by head coach.
- To teach sportsmanship and set an example of good moral and physical behavior for the student-athletes in your charge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Must have significant experience in coaching wrestling at the collegiate level.
- Ability to physically wrestle with student-athletes and demonstrate techniques.
- A background in strength and conditioning is preferred, CPR/AED and First Aid certifications will be required.
