Assistant Cross Country Coach

This is a part time, 9 month, exempt position; responsibilities include assisting head coach with all aspects of practice/meet preparation, recruiting and retention of qualified student athletes, implementation of all University, Department, and athletic conference bylaws, policies and expectations.

Essential Functions:

• Attend all practices and competitions;
• Assist in practice and meet preparation, supervision of student-athletes; assist with set-up and implementation of daily practices;
• Implement team goals, team expectations; provide individual and team feedback in a positive and constructive manner;
• Support Head Coach in all team aspects;
• Assist in team administration and operations where needed;
• Ability to assist in recruiting of qualified student athletes where needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required and/or related work experience;
• Relevant coaching and/or competitive experience required; preferably at the collegiate level;
• USTFCCCA Technical Certification or USATF Level 1 Certification preferred;
• Driver's license required;
• Must be willing to travel;
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
