Assistant Cross Country Coach

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of cross country techniques and strategies.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Ability to mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals.
• Organizational and management skills, including the ability to help schedule and plan practices and events.
• Familiarity with cross country rules and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make practice plans and prepare the team to compete in meets.
• Attend all practices and meets, including supervising on the bus to away games.
• Communicate the team's practice and meet schedule with the team and parents or guardians.
• Communicate all fundraising activities with the team and parents or guardians.
• Organize, distribute, and collect uniforms from the team.
• Maintains a positive staff relationship with other coaches and the trainer.
• Work with the varsity coach and athletic director to ensure compliance with all necessary requirements and regulations, including safety and liability issues.
