Assistant Cross Country Coach (SY 2024-2025)

The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding assistant coach to coach the cross country team for the 2024-2025 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Come be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coach the team they are assigned to.
• Take over the duties of the head coach when not present.
• Assist in coaching at practice and games.
• Implement practice plans.
• Oversee scouting of opposition.
• Be a liaison between captains and head coach.
• Coordinate with the athletic office the tasks of rosters, awards and medical issues.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
