Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Organizes, prepares, and conducts safe and strategic individual and team training sessions and competitive strategies. Executes appropriate coaching decisions during practice and competition that ensure the welfare of the student athletes representing their program.

Ensure safe skills progression that puts the safety of the student-athlete of paramount importance.

Assists with developing and incorporating a comprehensive recruiting plan that shows successful results for the recruitment, yield and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes.

Understand and support students who are balancing multiple responsibilities as students and athletes in a rigorous academic environment.

Assist with the management of facilities, uniforms and equipment specific to the sport.

Comply with the policies and regulations set forth by the NCAA Division III and Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (MIAC).

Demonstrate the highest level of sportsmanship and conduct during practices and contests.

Demonstrate behavior consistent with maintaining a program that has student-athlete welfare, as its central focus.
Education/Experience/Skills:
-
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.

Valid driver’s license required.
-
3+ years of participating and/or coaching experience.
-
Ability to teach a physical education instruction course.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
