This is a part-time position. As Assistant Cross Country/Track and Field Coach: responsible for assisting the head coach with managing all aspects of an NCAA Division III athletic program.
Special skills, knowledge and abilities:
Outstanding knowledge in teaching and coaching runners.
Ability to work with and relate well to student-athletes.
Knowledge of and ability to follow college policies and procedures.
Strong personal work ethic and a high level of personal integrity.
Must be willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
Familiarity with the NCAA Division III philosophy.
Understanding and agreement with the mission and Great Commitments of Berea College.
Some heavy lifting.
Ability to move freely throughout a four-floor, 106,996 square foot athletic and recreation facility, as well as all outdoor athletic facilities.
It is expected that the individual in this position will work at times other than, or in addition to, normal business hours and days, including attendance at numerous evening and weekend athletic events. This is especially true from August to May.
Some travel is required.
